Welder – Class A

Pay: $27.04/hour
Shift: Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Job Summary
HireCall is seeking an experienced Class A Welder to weld castings and fabrications to vendor specifications using designated welding rods and processes. This role requires operating manual and semi-automatic welding equipment while meeting production, quality, and safety standards. Additional duties may include pantograph, cutting machine, and sheave-making operations as required.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Weld all types of jobs, setting up and operating manual and semi-automatic welding machines
Select the appropriate welding rod for castings and fabrications
Successfully pass all required tensile and code welding tests
Perform pantograph, cutting machine, and/or sheave-making operations as needed
Read and interpret blueprints, written specifications, and welding symbols
Use precision tools, measuring instruments, and shop mathematics
Operate one or more machines to meet production and quality standards
Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, fixture parts, package finished parts, and retrieve materials
Read, write, and comprehend safety warnings, instructions, and production paperwork
Communicate effectively with supervisors, inspectors, and team members
Learn and retain machine controls, measuring instruments, assembly instructions, and blueprint symbols
Maintain punctuality and regular attendance to support production schedules
Work in an environment with normal exposure to dust, smoke, and fumes
