Subarc Welder
Pay: $20-28 per hour DOE
Weld Test: 1G-R on pinwheel, 4" or 6" beveled pipe, MIG root, Flux fill/cap on carbon steel
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM
Responsibilities:
- Ability to produce X-ray quality work using welding with SUBARC
Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisor
- Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding: a layout, positions, aligns.
- Observe and follow all company safety rules and policies
- Safely operate OH Cranes overhead cranes.
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Set up welding machine and welding gun: assemble/disassemble welding tips.
- Must observe and follow all company safety rules and policies.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Subarc experience in a VESSEL/HEADER shop
- Must be proficient in reading blueprints
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to develop templates and models for welding projects, using mathematical calculations based on drawing information
- Sub-arc experience is required
