Structural Fitter Welder – Tulsa, OK
HireCall is currently seeking an experienced Structural Fitter Welder for a day shift opportunity in Tulsa, OK. We are looking for a highly skilled individual who can read blueprints, fit and fabricate materials independently, and produce quality welds in a fast-paced fabrication environment. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, problem-solving, and working with minimal supervision.
Day Shift
Starting pay is $22/hour
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Layout and fit materials according to print specifications
- Cut, prep, fit, and weld all materials independently
- Perform MIG/Flux Core welding on structural steel components
- Make fabrication adjustments as needed during production
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues and think critically to resolve problems
- Work with steel siding/R-Panel materials used in meter house construction
- Maintain quality workmanship and meet production deadlines
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Welding Requirements
- Must be able to pass a 3G Plate Test
- MIG/Flux Combo Weld on 3/4" plate without run-off tabs
Qualifications
- Previous structural fitting and welding experience required
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Experience with fabrication tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Experience with R-Panel or steel siding preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
