Immediate openings for Shop Cleaners/Technicians!!
This position serves as a resource to support production floor lean manufacturing activities and involves facility maintenance, general maintenance, service and janitorial duties.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Verifies janitorial schedule for daily projects to be completed
- Sweeps and picks up around the entrances and exits and stairwells, as well as clean surface area rails, etc. on all levels, the offices and restrooms
- Empties all trashcans in facility
- Removes shop wastes such as pallets, cardboard, plastic bags, metal scrap, etc.
- Move equipment around facility as instructed
- Maintains facility and lot maintenance
- Assemble, paint, label items that support lean manufacturing initiatives
- Performs any other task deemed necessary by management
- Must have 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements of Position:
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform cleaning and repair duties that may require stooping, bending, lifting and other similar range of motions
- Ability to clean floors using mop or shovel that may require wide range of motion for arms, legs and back
- Manual dexterity required to perform equipment maintenance and repair using hand tools, replace light bulbs, paint
- Ability to withstand working with dust, chemicals, and other possible irritants
- Ability to perform duties while standing on a ladder
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds
