Shear Operator
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate shear machine which includes but is not limited to the use of a sit-down forklift to pull material.
- Maintain continuous workflow through adherence of documented processes.
- Produce parts utilizing the ‘top down” production list.
- Perform first part inspections as well as in-process quality checks.
- Perform monthly physical inventory counts.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to read and understand engineering documents and shop travelers.
- Ability to layout and load materials using basic math and hand held measuring tools including a measuring tape and screwdrivers.
- Knowledge of sheet metal gauges.
- Knowledge and ability to maintain the machine in good working order.
- Knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently lift, push, grasp, and pull 50 pounds.
- Dexterous with both hands.
- Occasionally work while in a bended, stooped, or squatted position.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Shear Operator – 1st shift 8am-4:30 Monday-Friday (some OT may be required)
$17 per hour
Must pass tape measure test at beginning of interview
