Seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant with excellent oral and written communication skills. This position requires: daily processing of purchase requisitions, stock, managing inventory, working with our vendors & customers, along with Operations & Quality Control teams. Responsibilities will also include administrative duties, data entry, maintaining daily reports, and logbooks.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the placement of orders for approved requisitions via the following methods: telephone, facsimile, postal mail, email, and in person
- Check requisitions for completeness and clarity; obtaining mission information where necessary
- Maintain purchasing records including vendor files, NDA's and scorecards
- Work with vendors and internal department to resolve invoice and receiving errors
- Complete general clerical duties, including documentation of work in help desk ticket and requisition systems
- Must have ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work well under pressure
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Highly skilled & proficient in Microsoft Office & Office 365 (Cloud based server), specifically Excel, Outlook, and other computer programs
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
