Job description
PAINTERS NEEDED

Description

Essential functions:

Always follows the procedures outlined for the job being performed.
Use check lists provided to ensure quality objectives are being met.
Loads and moves materials to work area.
Fills containers with prescribed quantities of paint and elements if required.
Applies masking to articles.
Installs specified nozzles in spray guns.
Replaces screens and filters.
Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted (grinding and chipping).
Moves painted articles to and from paint area (via forklift and crane).
Cleans spray and drying chamber, conveyor, tanks, hoses, and nozzles.
Racks workpieces on conveyor and/or racks.
Inspects, marks, and transfers finished pieces to stockroom or shipping areas.
Positions articles in jigs or erects ladders and scaffolds.
Furnishes Spray Painter with materials, tools, and supplies.
Keeps work area neat and clean.
Disposes of paint waste as trained.
Assembles product in accordance with shop order and drawing guidelines.
Performs spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards.
Performs other routine duties.

Requirements:

Ability to read measuring tape to 1/16".
Ability to read schedules, drawings & time records.
Ability to identify & count parts and subassemblies in order to complete internal inventory.
Ability to operate 5000# forklift safely and responsibly.
Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Mechanical aptitude.
Prolonged periods of standing and painting.
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
Must have adequate ability to balance.
Must be able to distinguish among colors.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
