Painter – 2nd Shift
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Surface Preparation: Prepare air-cooling units and components for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming surfaces. Ensure that surfaces are free of dirt, dust, rust, oil, grease, and other contaminants to promote proper paint adhesion.
- Paint Mixing and Application: Mix paint according to the manufacturer's specifications and apply it using various methods, such as spray guns, brushes, or rollers. Ensure even coverage and smooth finish on all painted surfaces.
- Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for defects, color consistency, and adherence to quality standards. Perform touch-ups or rework as needed to meet customer specifications and expectations.
- Masking and Protection: Apply masking tape and other protective materials to cover parts of the air-cooling units that should not be painted, such as labels, gaskets, and sensitive components.
- Paint Booth Management: Operate and maintain paint booths and ventilation systems to ensure a clean and safe environment for painting operations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while handling paint and paint-related materials. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of paint inventory and coordinate with the procurement team to reorder paint and painting supplies as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of paint usage, color codes, and painting procedures for quality assurance and production reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance painting techniques, efficiency, and overall product quality.
