Medical Assistants needed for a specialty clinic in midtown Tulsa. Must have at least 2 years of medical assisting experience, urology or nephrology experience preferred.
Hours: 1st shift, 8am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri
Compensation: $18-$21 per hour, DOE
Duties & responsibilities:
- Must have proof of current, up-to-date certification or registration
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Escort patients to and from exam room
- Records patient data in EHR at each visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies & medication changes.
- EPIC EMR software experience, preferred - (CKD/ESRD experience is a huge plus)
- Obtains all necessary consents/authorizations prior to treatment or procedure
- Schedules surgeries, patient referrals, and appointments as required
- Prepare and stock exam rooms & procedure rooms
- Follows all exam & treatment room disinfections, OSHA and HIPAA protocols
- Trained to give injections
- Maintain efficient patient flow
- Displays excellent customer service, verbal & written communication and attention to detail
- Patient Triage Experience a plus!
