Master Teachers needed to work with children birth to four years of age. This individual will plan and present age-appropriate activities for infants/toddlers.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and supervise infant/toddler-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop and implement schedules/lesson plans and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students by routine housekeeping and classroom management practices
- Maintain portfolio and anecdotal notes on each child in care utilizing Teaching Strategies Gold
- Maintain NAEYC portfolio with current artifacts
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to lift 15-30 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to accurately audit records and ensure compliance with written or oral guidelines.
- Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Associate.
