Local steel shop seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians.
Various shifts and locations are available. Must be able to perform various maintenance tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties:
- Troubleshoots and locates source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
- Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
- Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies.
- Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine ship instrumentation and equipment
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Requisitions supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Preferred Skills and Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to Three years’ experience and/or formal training, preferred
- Able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds
- Able to climb, bend, crawl, stand for prolonged periods
- Demonstrated abilities to perform all aspects of position
- 5+ years of related industrial mechanical and electrical experience required
- Must be computer literate/tech savvy
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
Other Requirements:
- Experienced with the use of hand tools such as digital and analog voltmeter, ammeter, and basic shop tools, welding.
- Experience diagnosing failures and troubleshooting basic mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Experienced with the use of computer-based systems such as maintenance log, inventory and work order systems.
- Experience with industrial 3 phase electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Experience with disconnecting and reconnecting electrical equipment.
- Hydraulics experience, required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
