We are recruiting High-Level CNC Machinists to work at our client's climate-controlled facility. Machinists will place and secure parts, fixtures and tools onto machines. Using the tools of the trade, our machinists are expected to use micrometers, calipers and other tools and gauges to read, interpret and act on requirements and specifications on blueprints for a variety of parts. We need machinists with proven experience and success troubleshooting and resolving operation or programming problems.
Shifts Available:
1st shift Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30pm
2nd shift Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 3am.
3rd shift Friady - Sunday 6am - 6pm
Machines You’ll Work On
- Mazak Integrex full 5-axis mill-turn centers, running EIA (G-code/M-code). These are high-complexity machines with dual chucks, multi-directional offsets, and full 5-axis capabilities.
- HAAS 3-axis vertical mill with heavy setup needs. This is a mid-level machine in terms of axis, but setup complexity demands advanced skill and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- 5+ years CNC machining experience, including 5-axis and multi-axis machines.
- Experience running Mazak Integrex (EIA code) and/or HAAS vertical mills.
- Demonstrated ability to read and act on blueprints and part tolerances.
- Ability to meet assigned run times and respond quickly to changing demands.
- Proven track record of reliability and accountability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a self-driven attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail, with pride in craftsmanship.
Job Requirements
- Set up, operate, and maintain multi-axis CNC machines with minimal supervision.
- Load and secure parts, fixtures, and tools accurately on machines.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T specs, and machining instructions.
- Perform machine setups, including:
- Loading fixtures and tools
- Selecting and loading the correct program
- Setting work coordinates and tool offsets
- Sizing in first article using measurement tools
- Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators to ensure parts meet strict specifications.
- Identify and select correct materials for each job.
- Troubleshoot operational and programming issues in real-time.
- Own your work center—maintaining high quality, speed, and organization.
Pay: $21 – 29/hr plus 11.5% shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift
Physical Requirements
Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures.
Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
