Header Welder - TIG/Stick
Location: Catoosa
Pay Range: $22-25
Shifts Available: Day and Night shifts available.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Header Welder proficient in TIG and Stick welding techniques to join our team at Catoosa. The ideal candidate will have experience in blueprint reading, layout, and welding of fabricated and forged components to assemble Header components. This position requires expertise in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and/or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) processes.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and understand blueprints to accurately lay out components for welding.
- Fit and weld fabricated and forged components to assemble Header components using SMAW, GMAW, and/or GTAW processes.
- Position, align, and fit components together accurately and securely.
- Tack-weld parts to secure them in position for welding, adhering to correct welding processes and procedures.
- Set up welding equipment for the use of various types of materials.
- Demonstrate proficiency in code welding techniques.
- Perform weld tests, including passing a 2G plate test with a GTAW root pass and SMAW fill and cap.
Requirements:
- 3 years+ of experience in code welding.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and layout.
- Ability to accurately fit and weld fabricated and forged components.
- Skill in positioning, aligning, and tack-welding components.
- Familiarity with setting up welding equipment for different materials.
- Ability to pass a 2G plate test with a GTAW root pass and SMAW fill and cap.
