Currently seeking a Detail Drafter for our valued client
Are you an experienced drafter with a passion for precision and structural design? Join our team and help us shape high-quality air-cooled heat exchangers for shop fabrication. We are looking for a Detail Drafter to create shop detail drawings and collaborate closely with engineers and fabrication teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft detailed 3D assembly and part models, as well as 2D part drawings and flat patterns for air-cooled heat exchangers.
- Prepare drawings for bundle assemblies, plenums, columns, ladders, and platforms.
- Work closely with mechanical design engineers and shop personnel.
- Ensure designs comply with American Petroleum Institute (API) 661 standards.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations regarding walkways, handrails, stairs, and equipment guards.
- Support the shop fabrication process through clear and accurate detailing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with various team members.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong drafting skills, including 3D and 2D modeling.
- Familiarity with welded steel fabrication practices.
- Computer proficiency, especially with Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of API 661 standards.
- Experience with OSHA safety requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for working with engineers, shop personnel, and management.
Requirements:
- Option 1: High School Diploma or GED with courses in CAD Design and at least 3 years of experience in heat exchanger or structural steel drafting.
- Option 2: Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting and Design with at least 1 year of structural steel drafting experience.
- Strong punctuality, attendance, and willingness to work on-site and occasional overtime.
