HireCall is seeking a detail-oriented Deburr Technician for a growing precision machine shop serving the aerospace and oil & gas industries. This position offers a four-day work week, opportunities for overtime, and on-the-job training for motivated individuals looking to grow their skills.
Schedule
Must be available to work any shift and overtime as required.
Current 1st Shift:
Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
What You'll Do
- Deburr machined metal and plastic components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, rotary tools, and other finishing equipment.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, excess material, and machining marks while maintaining critical part dimensions.
- Read and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Visually inspect parts to verify quality and identify defects before moving to the next operation.
- Handle precision components carefully to prevent cosmetic or dimensional damage.
- Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
- Organize work to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist other production departments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow written work instructions.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred
- Previous manufacturing or machine shop experience.
- Experience with deburring, finishing, polishing, or mechanical assembly.
- Ability to read blueprints or engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers.
Physical Requirements
- Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently use hands and wrists while operating hand tools.
- Lift and move up to 40 pounds.
- Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the day.
- Work safely in a manufacturing environment.
