Hours: M-F, 8am-4:30pm

Looking for a skilled tradesperson who specializes in constructing, repairing, and installing various wooden structures, fixtures, and items.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Construction and Installation: Construct, install, and assemble wooden structures, including framing, walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, and cabinets, according to blueprints and design specifications.
- Measure and Cut: Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery, ensuring precise dimensions and proper fit.
- Joinery: Create various types of joints, such as mortise and tenon, dovetail, and miter joints, to securely connect wooden components.
- Finish Work: Perform finished carpentry tasks, including sanding, staining, painting, and varnishing, to enhance the appearance and durability of the finished product.
- Roofing and Siding: Install wooden roofing structures and siding, applying waterproofing materials to protect against the elements.
- Repair and Restoration: Repair and restore damaged or worn wooden structures, fixtures, and furniture, making necessary replacements or adjustments.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from architectural blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to execute construction and installation projects accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while using hand and power tools and working at heights to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
- Materials Selection: Choose appropriate wood materials based on their intended use, quality, and appearance.
- Communication: Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and successful project completion.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- 1-2 years working experience in carpentry required.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Must be able to pass carpentry test.
- Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or vocational training is beneficial but not always required.
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in construction, woodworking, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using carpentry hand tools and power tools, such as saws, chisels, drills, routers, and sanders.
- Understanding of construction techniques, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and craftsmanship.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and perform labor-intensive tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new carpentry techniques and technologies.
