Burn Table Operator
Location: Port of Catoosa
Shift: Nights 6PM-430AM
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Burn Table Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating plasma and/or gas burning table equipment to accurately cut and shape metal components according to job specifications. This role plays a key part in ensuring quality and precision in our fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and drawings to determine machine settings and material requirements.
Position workpieces on the burning table and adjust stops and guides according to specifications.
Monitor machine operations to identify any malfunctions or defects in the workpiece.
Measure and inspect completed pieces to verify accuracy and compliance with job requirements.
Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on burning equipment as needed.
Work independently or with minimal supervision to meet production goals.
Qualifications & Experience
1–4+ years of experience operating plasma or gas burning tables.
Prior crane operation experience is preferred.
Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with burning equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations using basic math skills.
Competency in using a tape measure.
Excellent attention to detail with legible handwriting for documentation purposes.
Self-motivated and dependable with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] as needed.
Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
